Do I take insurance?

At the moment I am not on any insurance panels and do not take any insurance to cover the therapy rate.  However, I am more than happy to provide a "super bill" for you to use as a method to seek reimbursement for the fees paid from your insurance company.  Please note that every insurance plan varies greatly as to what they will reimburse, so be sure to give your insurance provider a call to find out how mental health therapy is covered within your plan.

What forms of payment can I use?

Currently, I utilize a secure, HIPAA compliant online billing system called Stripe where all major debit/credit cards are able to be processed.

When do I pay?

You will be billed for the session that evening through Stripe.

I can't afford the rate but really need therapy...what now?

I do have a limited number of sliding scale spots that are available for students (both undergraduate and graduate), single income households, and those doing non profit work who are able to demonstrate their financial hardship.  How I determine the sliding scale fee is based off of your income (demonstrated by a copy of both your last tax filings and a most recent paystub).  Please don't hesitate to ask questions about this, we can definitely chat more about it.

Good faith estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.  You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
